The Judicial Employees Cooperative Housing Society Lahore got registered with the Cooperative Department on 24-11-1979 and its bye-laws were approved by the said department with the passage of time, some amendments were made in the said bye-laws. The amended bye-laws of the society were approved by the Cooperative Department vide Notification No.RCS/H/L-237/1099 dated 7-08-2015.

In order to establish Phase-I of the Society, an area measuring 418-Kanal in Mauza Niaz Baig, Lahore, was purchased from the land owners through negotiations whereas an area measuring 23-K 08-M was acquired by the society under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. Award in respect of acquired land was announced by the Land Acquisition Collector, Lahore on 02.12.1985. Total area measuring 441-K and 08-Marla was developed and plots of different size were carved out. Therefore, Plots were allotted to the Judicial Officers on 02-04-1986. As a number of Judges from the Superior Judiciary could not be accommodated. Therefore, an area measuring 107-K and 17-Marla was obtained by the Society from Ch. Abdul Majeed through agreement dated 02-04-1986. This land was not in a compact block. Therefore, Lahore Development Authority, Lahore was requested to make an appropriate exchange. The change sought by the Society was approved by the said authority vide letter dated 20-09-1987. This area was got developed by the Lahore Development Authority against a consideration of Rs.7549500/-. Thereafter, Plots were allotted to the Judicial Officers.

After the successful completion of Phase-I/Ext, Lahore on the demand of a large number of Judicial Officers and the subordinate staff, Phase-II at Lahore was launched which was adjacent to Phase-I, Lahore. An area measuring 141-K and 5-Marla in Mauza Niaz Baig, Lahore was purchased from the land owners through negotiations and an area measuring 212-K and 09-Marla was acquired under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. Award of acquired land was announced by the Land Acquisition Collector, Lahore on 12-05-1988. After the development of total area measuring 353-K and 14-Marla plots were allotted to the Judicial Officers.

On the growing demand of Judicial Officers belonging to Faisalabad Division and adjoining areas, the task for establishment of a Judicial Colony at Faisalabad was assigned to Ch. Taj Muhammad District & Sessions Judge, who belonging to Faisalabad district. He managed land measuring 386-Kanal in Chak No.198-R.B. on Sheikhupura – Faisalabad Road was purchased through negotiations and Sale deeds were executed in favor of the society. After development of area, plots were allotted to the Judicial Officers.

After successful completion of above projects, three more Judicial Colonies were established at Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Lahore on the area shown against each as under :-
